Lead of Digital Financial Services (DFS) for Partnerships and Innovations, Financial Institutions Group - IFC
Nuria Aliño is responsible for building and cultivating partnerships with leading financial institutions and technology firms (global and regional champions). She globally develops co-investment opportunities, joint advisory activities, and knowledge sharing with key partners. She leads DFS Team’s activities and research on digital financial innovation (and coordinates with partner institutions). She takes a leading role in business development by pairing up with FIG DFS Specialists to visit major regions and potential DFS clients.
She began her career at BBVA where she held different positions in Corporate and Investment Banking. In 2013, she joined the Inter-American Investment Corporation as advisor to the General Manager, where she mainly worked with banks and financial institutions.
As a Spanish citizen, Aliño holds Masters Degrees in Economics and Business Administration, and in Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE, Madrid).
