Ruediger Geis is responsible for Commerzbank’s representation on trade industry initiatives, and as a representative of the financial services sector on global and regional industry bodies. Furthermore, he is in charge for new and evolving trade communication methods. Prior to this role he headed the Product Management Trade at Commerzbank AG covering all aspects of trade solutions, including guarantees, letters of credit, buyer’s credit etc. He is located in Frankfurt.
Throughout his more than 25 years in banking Ruediger has played different functions in the area of international trade and business and has held various assignments within the bank in Frankfurt, Bahrain, and New York. Ruediger is a member of the Executive Board of the ICC’s Banking Commission. Furthermore, he is an active member in various trade initiatives and was one of the drivers of the BAFT Master Participation Agreement for Trade Transactions. He holds a Bachelor Professional of International Trade & Management (CCI) and is married with three children.
