Tomasz Telma is Director and Global Head of Financial Institutions Group at IFC, a member of the World Bank Group and the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. Based in Washington DC, he is responsible for managing IFC’s investment and advisory services in the financial sector.  He leads a team responsible for over $9 billion of new investments annually, and a portfolio of nearly $29 billion of investment and more than $300 million of active advisory projects. 

Tomasz has more than twenty-five years of experience leading investment transactions in emerging markets.  Immediately prior to his current assignment, he was IFC’s Senior Director for Manufacturing, Agribusiness & Services with responsibility for IFC’s investments in a broad range of sectors including agribusiness, manufacturing, health, education, tourism, retail and property.
