Phalla Phan joined with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Supreme National Economy Council in 2004. He has engaged actively in the development of Financial Management Information System (FMIS), Public Financial Management Reform Program, Formulation of National and Sectoral Strategies, Revenue Mobilization Strategy, Macroeconomic Analysis and Management, Strategic Framework and Program for Economic Recovery in the Context of Living with Covid-19. He is currently Member of the Supreme National Economic Council, Member of the Board of Directors of Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, Secretary General of the Economic and Financial Policy Committee, Secretary of State at Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SME Bank. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Australia.
