Bill Briggs most recently served as the Acting Associate Administrator in the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Capital Access where he oversaw all aspects of the historic Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Bill also served as the SBA Headquarters liaison to large financial institutions regarding Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) made by SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance. These two programs provided over $750 billion of small business economic aid in a few short months and supported tens of millions of employees. Prior to serving with SBA, Bill has spent two decades in multiple advisory roles assisting the insurance, banking, and securities sectors. He has been involved in some of the most consequential financial services, technology, and public policy issues of the last two decades.
