Deputy Governor for Research and International Affairs - Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, representing the G20 Saudi Presidency
His Excellency Dr. Fahad Aldossari is currently the Deputy Governor for Research and International Affairs at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA). Dr. Aldossari has been working at SAMA since 1999. He started as an Economic Researcher and was promoted to the Head of Money and Banking Division at the Research and Statistics Department in 2009. From 2010 to 2013, he occupied the positions of the Director General of Research and Statistics Department, the Director of Economic Research Department and the Director of International Affairs Department. From 2013 to 2017, Dr. Aldossari was the Director General of the Institute of Finance (formerly known as the Institute of Banking). From 2016 to 2019, Dr. Aldossari was holding the position of the Deputy Governor for Administration.
Dr. Aldossari is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA). He is the Vice Chairman of Board of Trustees at the Financial Academy, Chairman of Nomination and Compensation Committee and a member of the Professional Competencies and Certifications Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Real Estate Development Fund, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Chairman of the Human Resources Committee and a member of the Investment Committee. In addition, Dr. Aldossari is a Board Member of the Social Development Bank and Chairman of its Audit Committee. Besides, Dr. Aldossari holds membership in a number of other government and professional committees in Saudi Arabia and internationally. Previously, Dr. Aldossari was a Board Member of the Agricultural Development Fund and a Board Member of the Public Pension Agency. HE Dr. Fahad Aldossari earned his PhD in Economics in 2008 from the University of Leeds, UK.
