David del Ser is Director of the BFA AI Studio. He supports and promotes tech-enablement in the financial sector, using data and developing AI software to enable better and more valuable user experiences. While at BFA, David has designed and implemented new AI approaches and smart solutions for MSMEs, include automating price scanning for small merchants, and predicting PAYGo solar customer churn to tailor proactive interventions by customer reps. David led the conceptualization and experimental testing of AI-based solutions for the MSME and PAYGo sectors as showcased in the AI Gallery. 

David is also the founder of Frogtek, a business which provides app-based technology to empower small retailers in developing countries with better business tools -- such as a real-time price predictor. Frogtek was recently listed by the Wall Street Journal as having built one of five apps bringing the next billion online. Formerly at Vodafone R&D, David also brought recommenders to smartphones and rich media to launch a personalized music feed app before iTunes Genius was popularized.
