Lucas Palacios, Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism of Chile, is a Commercial Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, holding a Latin American Studies in International Economics master's degree from the University of Salamanca, Spain.
He has extensive experience in the areas of strategic planning and management, conflict negotiation and administration, economic and financial analysis, and development and implementation of public policies. Oriented to achieving results through leadership and motivation of work teams. Creative, global thinking and with a comprehensive vision of management.
His previous experience in the public sector was developed as Undersecretary of Public Works, Advisor to the Budget Office of the Ministry of Finance and Councilor of the Puente Alto Commune.
He’s married, with 4 children. Poet and musician by trade, joy and personal development.
