Carlos J. Menendez is President, Enterprise Partnerships for Mastercard.  In this role,  Menendez is responsible for expanding the company’s operations globally with select partnerships in the Smart Cities, Merchant, Travel and B2B space; plus Global Relationship lead for HSBC, Western Union and the Travel GDS sector.  He also has responsibility for driving enterprise-wide partnership strategy and innovation, helping Mastercard to use its technology and data in new ways for a host of diverse retail, business and government partners. 

Menendez joined Mastercard in 2010 and was, most recently, group executive, Global Credit and Debit.  In this role, Menendez was responsible for managing the company’s consumer and network products, with a focus on developing competitive differentiation globally while deploying solutions at the local market level. Prior to joining Mastercard, Menendez held a number of positions at Citigroup, where he worked for more than 14 years. 

Menendez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University, a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School.
