Lingyun Gu is currently the founder and CEO of IceKredit, a fin-tech firm headquartered in Shanghai, China, powered by Machine Learning technologies to quantitatively evaluate SME/individual credit. Meanwhile, he is also the board of directors of Turbo Financial Group and advisor of Asset Avenue, a leading commercial real estate crowdfunding company in USA.
Before IceKredit era, Lingyun was the Entrepreneur- In-Residence (EIR) and investment advisor of IDG Capital Partners. He worked with other partners together to invest over 30+ fin-tech companies and built the fundamental layout of IDG’s fin-tech investment. Prior to IDG, Lingyun co-funded Turbo Financial Group in Los Angeles, USA and was the Chief Risk Officer overlooking the divisions of modeling and analytics decisions. Before establishing Turbo, Lingyun was the founding member of ZestFinance's modeling group, responsible for multiple generations of Zest's underwriting models. His work was intensively covered by LA Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Sina Business and Sohu Business. Prior to Zest, Lingyun worked for a hedge fund, applying machine learning algorithms into high frequency trading arena.
Lingyun got his Ph.D in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, publishing 10+ journal and conference papers and having four patents. Before coming to US, Lingyun got his BS from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
